There is an urgent need to replace the current "speed lanes" system that responds to the varied demands of speed, synergy and optimal distribution of trafffic on roads, says a recent survey conducted by the NGO _ Nature's Soul in tandem with the Class XI students of Delhi. The survey based on the monitoring of more than 8,000 vehicles at six different intersections on the OUter Ring Road has suggested a number measures for the Delhi Government to improve the public transport facilities and curb the alarming increase in vehicular pollution in the city.
