The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Om Prakash Chautala, has asserted that the Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna, should honour the apex court's directive and release 9,000 cusecs of water from its reservoir to Tamil Nadu daily. He said this during a press conference. AS regards the apex court verdict pertaining to the SYL canal, the Chief minister expressed the hope that the Punjab Government would comply with the order and get the SYL canal completed by January 14,2003, as stipulated in the verdict.
