Maithon Power Limited (MPL), a joint venture between Tata Power and DVC, has undertaken the initiative of supplying clean drinking water to the community through water tankers during the summer season. 28 villages will benefit by th initiative. The objective of this initiative is to cater to the basic need of the rural communities who were deprived of safe drinking water due to severe water scarcity. To counter this, the company hired three water tankers, each with a capacity of 5000 liters, to supply drinking water to the community. The Company has distributed nearly 270 tankers of drinking water so far.
