A delegation of All-India Tourist Taxi Association that represents about 10,000 DLY and DLZ taxi operators in Delhi would be meeting Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely on Tuesday to demand immediate rollback of the hike in the pollution-check fee and to press for removal of the private party engaged in this work. General secretary of the Association Suraj Prakash Vaid said the Delhi Government had from April 4 increased the pollution-check fee for such taxis from Rs. 300 to Rs. 600 and handed over the operations to a private player.
