The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is in the process of drafting a rating system for Indian buildings. The first draft of the rating norms for commercial buildings in and around Delhi would be ready by the middle of this year. The TERI proposes to develop TERI's Green Building Rating System (TGBRS) after a thorough analysis of internationally accepted rating systems such as the U. S. -based LEED (Leadership in Energy and Enviro nmental Design) and the U.K.-based BREEAM (Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method) and also current building practices in India.
