In an effort to tackle the problem of vehicular pollution in the country, the Tata Energy Research Institute(TERI0 on Friday proposed setting up of a consortium involving automobile and oil companies, regulatory bodies, medical experts research bodies, consumer organisations and the media. The consortium would draw out a detailed strategy to effectively reduce and monitor urban air pollution. The recommendations are prt of deliberations in a two-day conference on 'Automobile and fuel technologies :Solution for the environment' held at New Delhi on July 22 and 23.
