Mumbai is the best city in the country in terms of private finance and tourism, Kolkata has the most impressive relative growth and Bangalore tops in terms of professional education. But it is Delhi, with a modern and large communication network, that has pipped them all in the overall ranking for the best million plus city in India. An independent study by Laveesh Bhadari of Indicus Analytics and Bibek Debroy, Director of Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies, for the Confederation of Indian Industry has put Delhi at No.1 in the Overall Index Ranking.
