Naandi, an NGO promoted by four business houses, has changed lives for people in Andhra Pradesh. Under Naandi's guidance, farmers were trained to manage these schemes as a business venture and therefore the farmers themselves undertook the repairs of the pump sets. Of the six defunct lift irrigation projects undertaken by Naandi, four are working this agricultural season and out of these the one in the Pasapulla village is applauded as the most successful.
