Three persons died due to freezing cold in Dhamaura VDC in Mahottari district on Wednesday. Seven-year-old Najibun Khatun of Dhamaura VDC-7, Jafer Shesh, 16, of Dhamaura VDC-1 and Kurman Rain, 60, of Dhamaura VDC-2 died due of cold, said Rehan Sah, a local. Normal life in Tarai has been hit hard due to cold wave for the past few days. Fewer people are seen coming out of their homes except for emergency work. Children and elderly people are the most affected due to the cold.
