A joint party of police and forest offices which carried out a raid on the villages situated near the border confiscated around 4000 cubic feet of smuggled timber worth around Rs two million. It is learnt that this is the first time that such a huge quantity of illegal timber was confiscated from that area after the declaration of cease-fire.
