Bangladesh government has taken up an 'Agar Forestation Project' at a cost of Tk 2.90 crore in the region to procue 'Atar' an essence. The project first of its kind in the country, was initiated by Forest and Environment Ministry in 1998-99 fiscal year and is expected to be completed by 2004-2005 fiscal year.
