A writ petition on behalf of 20 lakh Cauvery delta farmers and agricultural labourers was today filed in the Supreme Court to direct Karnataka to release water to Tamil Nadu as per the interim orders of the Cauvery Tribunal To save the 'Kuruvai' crop. It comes up for hearing on July 22 along with the suit filed by the Tamil Nadu government in September last.
