The TN State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) employees's colony at Manikandam, 12 Km from Tiruchy on the Madurai road, is set to become the district's first housing society to run a mineral water plant for its 500-odd residents. With 311 houses, the colony is a Rs 8.50 crore project that sets an example in the way it offers a host of amenities at minimal cost.
