The Samaspur bird sanctuary in Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's Rae Bareli constituency in Uttar Pradesh is to be the focal point for her plans to develop the region as a tourist destination. After a recent trip by Central government officers, the local administration has sought Rs 8 crore to develop the sanctuary which is on the Salon Unchahaar road. It also has the biggest water body in the state.
