The government has announced a host of concessions to the tourism industry, including grant of export house status to the toursim industry. Tourism units earning Rs 6 crore in foreign exchange annually from the present Rs 12 crore will be eligible for the export house status. The concessions that would cover all tourism units including hospitality industry besides boosting foreign exchange earnings will help in creation of more exployment opportunities and generation of income for the sector, minister for tourism and parliamentary affairs, Madan Lal Khurana announced at a press conference on Monday.
