That toxic wastes pose a threat to human health and the environment is well known, but that we are nowhere near to resolving the problem is not so well known with the result incidents of toxin induced illnesses are increasing. Textile mills, tanneries, jute mills etc. all have wastes most of which finds its way into ditches, ponds, canals and rivers to pollute at will and the main reason for it is improper management and disposal.....Editorial
