A delegation of Delhi traders met President A P J Abdul Kalam and sought his intervention in the ongoing demolition drive against illegal constructions in the Capital. They claimed that the business community was neither a petitioner nor respondent in the Public Interest Litigation against illegal constructions in the Capital. "The Supreme Court order to shutdown business premises by June 30, 2006, hits traders who have not been even called for a hearing. It deprives us of our livelihood and snatches natural justice,' Confederation of All India Traders secretary general Praveen Khandelwal said.
