Traffic police frustrated by illegal parking at KC, LCWU

Illegal parking in front of private and government collages on Jail Road, in Gulberg and other parts of the city, has paralysed traffic movement and poses a significant security risk.
The traffic becomes a problem during the start and end of school sessions of the Kinnaird College (KC), Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Punjab Group of Colleges and the Lahore Grammar School Shah Jamal, with the traffic wardens posted at the locations unable to ensure smooth flow of traffic due to the volume of cars parked in service lanes. Traffic wardens appointed at these locations told Daily Times that illegal parking in front of these institutions was the main reason for the blockage of traffic during the pick and drop timings of the schools. The traffic authorities have already sent notices to the institutions and asked them to set up their own parking system, however, no action has been taken to that effect yet.
