Tree plantation drive

The Forest Department of the Delhi Government will develop an arboretum in 107 acres at Ghumman Hera and Shikarpur villages of Najafgarh area of West Delhi. "This is part of our attempt to develop various species of trees in saline soil. The soil of this area is saline and underground water level is about 40 feet deep", the Delhi Forest and Environment Minister, Dr. A.K. Walia, said at a Van Mahotsava function here today.
