Mild tremors continued to rattle Saurashtra and Kutch region on Monday, a day after a tremor measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale shook many parts of the state. However, no damage to life or property was reported from any place. Mild after shocks were experienced in Kutch, Junagadh, Jamnagar and Porbandar districts on Monday. Talala in Junagadh district woke up to a shaky morning when a mild tremor of 3.2 intensity rocked the region at around 6.45 am. Shocks were also felt in other vilages, including Hiranvel, Chitravad and Haripur, which are already experiencing mysterious blasts along with aftershocks, officials said. Jamnagar's Dhrol village was rattled thrice continuously by tremors and the last one remained for almost 10 seconds. Sources said that many people in Dhrol are sleeping outside fearing more tremors. Before a week or so, there were reports that people were frightened by a big explosion-like sound at around 2.45 am. In Kutch, a tremor measuring 3.1 on Richter scale was experienced at around 11.40 am and seismologists say that its epicentre was around 50 km from Bhuj in Rann of Kutch. People in coastal town of Porbander also panicked after three mild tremors early in the morning. Though there was no official word on these, people in many areas said that they did experience the jolt.
