The Centre is working on a comprehensive policy for resettlement and rehabilitation of millions of tribals across the country, Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram said here on Thursday while addressing the three-day fourth editors' conference on social sector issue. "A comprehensive policy for resettlement and rehabilitation of tribals is in advance stage and would be introduced by the Government soon after it is finalised," Mr Oram. Mr Oram said the Government was fully aware of the problems of the tribals who have been uprooted from their soil for execution of various schemes. He said the formation of a separate tribal affair ministry was aimed at addressing this as well as other issue facing the tribal community.
