Tribals in many districts in Madhya Pradesh are felling trees and denuding forests in large scale for cultivation. In Mahendikhera, Dewas district, the police resorted to firing, when the tribals turned violent and similar incidents could recur in the state, if measures are not taken to find the reasons behind tribals actions.
