Tribals take blame as timber mafia eats into Gujarat forestry scheme

In the remote interiors of the Dahod district in Gujarat, it's jungle raj all over. Illegal felling of trees by timber smugglers and unauthorised cultivation by tribals is evident in several villages along the Anas, which seprates Gujarat from Madhya Pradesh. Plantations nurtured by the social forestry wing are bearing the brunt of these illegal activities.
