Tripura University polluting water body

Agartala, Sept 29: Tripura (Central) University students have raised voice both against the varsity authorities and Tripura State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) for their alleged inaction over pollution of the water body in the campus while demanding immediate action from the State Government.The students alleged that hazardous chemicals and solid wastes of the institution were being dumped in the lake, spread over 20 acres in the university complex, for the past 20 years, adding that the water was being used by hundreds of students and residents of nearby localities.Talking to UNI here today, Tripura University Students
