Truce called in fight over Canadian rainforest

Loggers, environmentalists and Indians agreed yesterday to limit logging in Canada's Pacific coast rainforests, which have become "ground zero" in a battle over wildlife protection. The groups said it was a first step in deciding the future of what environmentalists call "the Great Bear Rainforest," but it was enough to spur Greenpeace to agree to suspend a worldwide boycott campaign against British Columbia lumber.
