Twelve minor irrigation schemes sanctioned

The state government has sanctioned 12 minor irrigation schemes of four districts costing Rs 13.78 crore. All the four districts including Jabalpur, Seoni, Katni and Narsinghpur are in Jabalpur division. On completion, these schemes would bring 1328.50 hectare area under irrigation. The Water Resources Department has sanctioned six schemes of Jabalpur district, three of Seoni, two of Katni and one scheme of Narsinghpur district. The schemes include Khair reservoir, Dehri Kalan reservoir, Mohnipaneka reservoir, Temar dam, Devhar anicut and Murjhor weir schemes of Jabalpur district, Bhajiya reservoir, Suktara reservoir and Karnpur reservoir schemes of Seoni district, Khirni lift irrigation scheme and Madhai weir scheme of Katni district and Barguwan reservoir scheme of Narsinghpur district. Besides, Rs 99.60 lakh has also been sanctioned for flood control scheme of Dhapera (Mohgaon under Lal Barra development block in Balaghat district
