Two years later, BMC scraps revamp of Powai garden

CONTRACTOR BLAMED The much-touted Rs 40 crore upgradation of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Udyan at Powai has stopped nearly two years after it commenced. The garden exists on land belonging to the water supply department and was to be refurbished with water as its theme. Anil Diggikar, additional municipal commissioner, in charge of water supply and projects said the contract had been cancelled as the contractor had failed to carry out any work.
