UAE desert site was once green : Neolithis study

Excavations of a human settlement in the United Arab Emirates dating back to around 7,000 years ago reveal that the area, now a desert was once lush green with vegetaion and plentiful supply of water. The flint tools and remains of small buildings in Al Ain in Abu Dhabi dating back to the Neolithis period will help in understanding the early history of the emirates.
