The city's long-neglected heritage buildings may finally have something to cheer about. The British government has appointed conservation expert John Raw as an advertiser to the Calcutta Municipal Corporation's heritage building committee, and he will guide a policy towards the restoration of the buildings. Mr Raw was in the city on Friday to conduct a workshop on the subject. It was his second visit.
