The government of the Unitekd Kingdom may agree to fund the second phase of the Indo-UK Forestry Project in the state, despite a change in its policy to shift focus from development schemes to poverty alleviation. The state had given up hope for securing funds for the Rs 75 crore second phase of the project after the Labour Government decided not to support isolated development projects which did not help much in rooting out poverty.
