Under ground reservoirs are proving best solution for the water woes of residents in this scorching summer as many resident welfare associations and societies are welcoming their constructions. And those who have already have one, seek more. Obviously the Delhi Jal Board's erratic and insufficient water supply through water tankers and inflated bills dished out by the private firms selling water has made the underground water tanks a "precious" bet. An official from Delhi Jal Board said: "Acute water shortage owing to the depleting ground water level and water selling firms dictate is forcing the locals to think on these lines to meet their day-to-day water needs. We are getting queries from the people particularly from RWAs to build water reservoir," he said.
