The Mulayam Singh government in Uttar Pradesh has pleaded the Supreme Court to abolish nine new districts created by former Chief Minister Mayawati, saying it was done in violation of the guidelines laid lown in 1992 , putting a financial burden of over Rs 2,000 crore was required for providing infrastructure.
