UP govt to spend Rs 300 cr on roads

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to spend Rs 300 crore on laying of new roads and maintaining and improving existing roads in the state. It was learnt that CM Mulayam Singh Yadav accorded his approval to the proposal at a meeting of UP State Road Corpn held.While the chief minister okayed the proposal to spend Rs 300 crore on laying roads and improving the existing ones, he also agreed to a proposal to improve roads in rural areas at a cost of Rs 63 crore.
