COME December and UP may start releasing 180 cusecs of water for the 140 MIllion Gallons Per Day (MGD) Sonia Vihar plant. It will mean that 90 MGD of water will get added to Delhi's bucket. UP, which had started releasing water in phases for the much-awaited plant this summer,had with drawn the supply of water fromOctober 1to October 24 without informing the Delhi Jal Board on the pretext of annual cleaning of the Upper Ganga Canal (UGC).
