India needs an investment of about $65 billion to meet its urban infrastructure development programme, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said yesterday. The chamber said massive investments were required both for creating infrastructure, as well as for the operation and maintenance of the current infrastructure facilities in the country. The present availability of resources is, however, only about one-tenth of the requirements, CII said.
