The United States will not revoke the ban on shrimp imports from India unless Indian fishermen use turtle-excluding devices (TED), the State Department said on Friday. India and some other countries had recently won a case before World Trade Organisation panel against US law barring shrimp exports to the US unless commerical shrimp boats use turtle excluders or other exceptions as provided in the US law. The US has taken the decision to enforce its law despite this ruling.
