A free mass vaccination-cum-treatment camp for the livestock of the fringe villages of Orang National Park was held recently. The camp vaccinated around 971 cattles and buffaloes against HS and BQ as a pre-monsoon preventive measures to form an immune belt in the park. This was stated in a press release. The camp was held under the collaboration of the Department of Extension Education, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara, District Administration of Darrang District and Wildlife and Forest Division of Mangaldai.
