Tension prevails in Garnavathi village of the Rohtak district over the issue of the alleged illegal felling of trees on the panchayati land by the contractor who had been authorised failed to stop the illegal felling within 24 hours. The Sarpanch of the village, Ms Chotti Devi, has sent complaints to the Chief Minister, the Deputy Commisioner and the SSP, demanding a stop to the felling of additional trees located on the panchayati land.
