Bamunjuli, Kalikhola, Sonajuli, Gerujhar, No 1 are some interior villages of Udalguri district of Assam where a potful of drinking water has become more valuable than gold as of today. The villagers at the foothills of Butan find it extremely difficult to install tube wells or even dig wells as the rocky earth levels there stand as the main obtacles in the process. These poor people, even in the days of modern technology, have to entirely depend on nearby springs for drinking water.
