Villagers living near the Indian nuclear test range on Friday demanded the government build a local hospital following growing fears that they are suffering the fallout from this month's blasts. The residents of Khetlai village said in a letter faxed to President K.R. Narayanan that many of them were suffering from nosebleeds, irritation of the eyes and numbness following the May 11 and May 13 tests.
