Leaders and residents of more than 350 villages of Delhi warned the Centre and the Delhi Government that they would launch a "do-or-die" agitation in the Capital from February 19 if the Municipal Corporation of Delhi fails to keep villages and the Lal Dora areas out of its ongoing citywide demolition drive against unauthorised and illegal structures. Participating in the second "Mahapanchayat" since the High Court ordered action against commercial structures in the Lal Dora areas, protesters asked the Centre to immediately bring in an Ordinance announcing separate building bylaws for villages and permission to carry out commercial activities in the wake of growing unemployment.
