Delhi's greenery might be in the red, but this hasn't prevented officialdom from felling 13 rees on Race Course Road. Officially-speaking, the trees were put on the chopping block for the construction of a VIP car park near the PM's official residence."We only followed the blueprint for construction of a parking lot near the PM's residence at an estimated cost of Rs 5.5 crore," informs a senior NDMC official, "Without removing these trees from our path, it would not have been possible to construct the parking lot."
