Volkswagen AG plans to introduce a high-efficiency auto next year via its Spanish subsidiary Seat using a direct-injection system developed by Japan's Toyota Motor Corp , a newspaper reported. Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung said on Monday that in return for Toyota's technical assistance with gasoline-injection systems, VW will aid the Japanese auto giant with diesel direct-injection technology, where VW has an edge.
