Water and Power Consultancy Services (Wapcos), a premier international consultancy organisation under the ministry of water resources, has bagged four projects in Ethiopia. The contracts are for design of Kesem Dam and Allaideghe plain irrigation project, Tendaho Dam, study of Koga irrigation and watershed management project and extension of services for Wabi Shebelle river basin master plan study. Wapcos has a long standing reputation in African region and has implemented various water resources projects in Ethiopia and other countries. It has also been shortlisted by Asian Development Bank and World Bank for other projects.
