Scientists have found that the earth's atmosphere has shrunk by eight kilo metre in the last 40 years, possibly as a fall out of accumulation of green house gases. Researchers of the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge, probing 40 years of data gathered at the Antarctic peninsula and the Falkland Islands, found for the first time that the shrinkage was global, according to Dr Jarvis.
