On the occasion of World Water Day, RWAs, representatives of the Azadi Bachao Andolan, Jagriti Mahila Samiti, Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology, Kisan Morcha and DJB employees' union formed a "Citizens' Front against Water Privatisation in Delhi". It was decided in response to the fast track taken by the Delhi Government towards water privatisation. The hidden agenda of water privatisation was exposed with the setting up of a Water Regulatory Authority in Delhi, as required under the policy papers prepared by the Price Water House Coopers (PWHC), which has been asked to prepare the privatisation road map. A huge amount of tax payers' money has been paid to PWHC for preparing the report to facilitate water privatisation in the Capital.
