Water level rises in Khanpur Dam

Khanpur dam's (Pakistan) water level has sharply risen, officials said. The level was increasing due to continuing wet spell in the catchment area in Hazara, officials said. Khanpur dam is the third water reservoir in the Haripur district. The other two are Tarbela and Ghazi Barotha. The Khanpur dam administration, however, did not feel the need to open the spillways to release extra water accumulated in the dam.
