To spread awareness about the importance of conserving precious freshwater resources, trhe Union ministry of of water resources has initiated several programmes. These include campaigning through media and organising painting and debate competions at school-level.One such awareness programme was recently launched by Union minister of water resources, Arjun Charan Sethi, in New Delhi. Called Jal Yatra, the march aims to propagate the message of conservation of freshwater resources among the school-children.
