Water has become a bone of contention between Haryana and Delhi. While the Delhi administration alleges that Haryana has reduced water supply to the national Capital, Haryana claims that it has been supplying Delhi water much in excess of its share in the Yamuna waters. A spokesman of the Haryana Government said here yesterday that water had been supplied to Delhi even at the cost of drinking water needs of the state's important towns like Gurgaon, Sonepat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bhiwani, Rewari and Narnaul.
