The Joint Action forum, an umbrella of many social organisations like Narmada Bachao Andolan, Ekta Parishad, Adivasi Mukti Sangathan and Kisan Adivasi Sangathan slammed the World Bank for sponsoring the 800 core Madhya Pradesh Forestry project which, according to the JAF, had devastating effect on the lives of lakhs of tribals living in forest areas.
